Humboldt Broncos Trade Kutschinski to Wayway for Timothy Kim

The Humboldt Broncos have completed a player-for-player trade, acquiring 2004 born forward, Timothy
Kim from the MJHL’s Waywayseecappo Wolverines in exchange for 2003 born forward, Tyler
Kutschinski.

Kutschinski played 28 games for the Broncos in his rookie season last year, accumulating 3 goals and 4
assist with 73 penalty minutes.

“We wanted to give Tyler more opportunity to play and develop. He’s been great the time he has been
here, and we feel this is a move that will benefit both clubs. We want to thank Tyler for his time and
dedication as a Bronco,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney.

Kim never suited up for a regular season game with the Wolverines as they just recently acquired his
rights from the BCHL’s Victoria Grizzlies in early September.

Last season, the Vancouver, BC native picked up 6 points in 37 games with the Grizzlies. In 2019/20 Kim
put up 42 points (21g,21a) in just 29 games with the Greater Van Canadians U16 AAA program, before
having his 2020/21 campaign washed out due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Tim is player we’ve been watching tape on since last year when he was in the BCHL. He’s got high end
skill for his age, and a player we feel we needed to add to our lineup,” Barney said.

The Humboldt Broncos and City of Humboldt would like to thank Tyler for his commitment with the
Broncos and welcome Timothy to the organization and community.
