COMMITMENT: BRONCOS ADD NORMAND FOR THE 2022-23 SEASON

The Humboldt Broncos are happy to announce the commitment of former first round pick, Jordan Normand for the 2022/23 SJHL season.

Normand, the 7th overall pick by the Broncos in the 2019 SJHL Bantam Draft, is a native of Warman, SK and currently playing for the U18 AAA Warman Wildcats, accumulated 41 points (14g-27a) in 36 games this season.

“Jordan is a very gifted two-way centreman. His play away from the puck is as big a part of his game as with it, which really showcases his hockey sense,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney. “He’s had a great season offensively and we are excited to add him to the Broncos’ roster next season.”

The development curve throughout U18 hockey has displayed an impressive and steep incline of production for the 2004-born forward.

In his rookie season with the Wildcats in 2019/20, Normand picked up nine points in 43 games. The following season, his sophomore year, was cancelled at just three games due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the hiatus didn’t deter the two-way prospect, exploding for well over a point-per-game this year.

Normand was called up to the Broncos for one game this season, making his SJHL debut in Kindersley against the Klippers.

The Broncos would like to welcome Jordan and his family to the organization.
