Broncos Acquire Jacob Strizzi from OJHL’s North York Rangers

The Humboldt Broncos are pleased to announce the acquisition of 2005-born forward, Jacob Strizzi from the North York Rangers of the OJHL.

Strizzi, a Toronto, ON native, has been an offensive force since stepping foot in the OJHL as a 17-year-old in 2022/23.

In his rookie season, Strizzi finished 3rd in team scoring with 51pts (24g, 27a) in 51 games. He hasn’t slowed down in his sophomore year, continuing on a point-per-game pace with 21 goals and 12 assists in just 32 games played, good for second on the Rangers.

“Jacob is a huge addition to our roster as we push towards and into the playoffs. He’s got good size, great offensive instincts at a young age. He’s going to be a perfect fit in our top-6 and also is a player who has a lot of NCAA D1 attention already. We’re really happy to acquire a player like Jacob,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney.

Strizzi is listed at 6’2, 195lbs.

In 2022 he was drafted in the 3rd round, 51st overall by the Owen Sound Attack in the OHL U18 Priority Selection Draft.

The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt are pleased to welcome Jacob and his family to the organization and community.
