Broncos Acquire Boris Kofman from OJHL

The Humboldt Broncos are pleased to announce the acquisition of 2004-born forward, Boris Kofman from the OJHL’s Toronto Jr. Canadiens in exchange for future considerations.

Kofman, a 19-year-old Russian/Canadian citizen, has 10 points in 32 games for the Canadians, playing his first year of Jr. A hockey in Canada.

“Boris is a player we have tracked since last season. He plays with incredible pace and always with a 200-foot mindset,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney. “He’s a left shot forward who can play both centre and wing, so that versatility is a great advantage, and we also feel he’ll bring added offence with the team we have.”

Before this season, Kofman who is listed at 5’10, 178lbs, played his junior career overseas.

From 2019 -2022, Kofman played in both Sweden’s and Russia’s junior hockey systems. Two seasons ago he dressed for the top U18-league in Sweden where he put up 29 points (17g,12a) in 15 games. Last year, he made the jump to the J20 Region, the highest junior level in Sweden, and collected 19 points in 25 games with Huddinge IK J20.

The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Boris and his family to the Broncos organization and community.
