The Humboldt Broncos are excited to announce the signing of Tracen Ashley for the 2026/27 SJHL season.
Ashley is a 6’1”, 190 lb, right-shot defenceman from Calgary, Alberta, who brings size, toughness, and a strong defensive presence to the Broncos’ future blue line.
A physical defender who plays hard in his own end, Ashley takes pride in shutting down opponents, winning battles, and bringing a competitive edge every night. He also enters the program with valuable experience, having already appeared in junior games — preparation that will only strengthen his readiness heading into next season.
Broncos Head Coach/GM Brayden Klimosko shared what Ashley will add to the group:
“Tracen is a big-bodied d-man who plays physical and takes pride in his d-zone. He has played some junior games already so that should only help his preparation for next season.”
Ashley becomes another important piece in Humboldt’s 2026/27 roster build, as the organization continues to add players who bring size, character, and strong defensive habits to the next generation of Broncos hockey.
Welcome to Humboldt, Tracen — we can’t wait to see you in green and gold!
