The Humboldt Broncos lent a helping hand to some community members after a heavy snowfall.
The Broncos found the positive side of a drastic winter storm that immobilized the local area with roughly two feet of snow. The team broke out the shovels and snowblowers and took to the streets and driveways, using their teamwork expertise to break free some residents.
“It always great to be able to head out and help the community members when they’re in need. That was quite a bit of snow that fell down and we had some strong guys that were ready to get to work,” said Head Coach, Scott Barney.
Members of the Broncos team could be seen out in different parts of the community shoveling everything from driveways, dog kennels, and pathways for Humboldt residents.
Now with their attention turned back towards the ice inside the arenas, rather than the ice built up on the streets, the Broncos will look to shovel up another victory when then host the Yorkton Terriers tonight.
