Flaman Commits to Simon Fraser University

The Humboldt Broncos Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce forward Austen Flaman (’00) has committed to Simon Fraser University (BCIHL) for the 2021/22 season.

Flaman, 20, was a key addition last summer for the Broncos, the veteran of 156 Junior ‘A’ games and former first overall pick in the SJHL Bantam draft is taking his talents west for years to come, Austen was heavily recruited by SFU and will be joining some former teammates and friends.

The 5’10”, 175-pound Forward amassed 94 points over his steady career, those in Bronco land believe it would have been over the 150 mark if it was not for Covid-19.  Though Austen’s time in Humboldt was short, he had a lasting impression on his teammates, billets, and coaches.

The Broncos would like to thank Austen for his contributions to the team on and off the ice and wish him and his family nothing but the best in his college hockey career and beyond.

The Simon Fraser University Mens Ice Hockey Team is located in Burnaby, British Columbia and are guided by long time Head Coach Mark Coletta.
