COMMITMENT: Broncos add Perkins for the 2021 – 2022 Season

The Humboldt Broncos are pleased to announce the signing of Matthew Perkins (’04) for the 2021/22 SJHL season.

Perkins, who turned 17-years-old on January 21st, was drafted by the Broncos in the third round, 32nd overall of the 2019 SJHL Bantam Draft.

Although he was held to only six games in 2020/21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Balgonie, SK native tallied a point per-game through that span (1g, 5a) as a member of the U18 AAA Moose Jaw Warriors.

“We are really excited to welcome Matthew to the Broncos,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney. “We have watched the growth in his game over the past few seasons and we feel he’s ready to step up into our lineup. We see him as a gifted offensive player who has a great hockey IQ.”

Training camp is scheduled to start in late August with puck drop to the 2021/22 SJHL season set for September 24th.
