The Humboldt Broncos have made another deal with the Portage Terriers.

The Broncos have traded 20-year-old forward Bryson Cecconi to the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Cecconi will be reunited with teammate Chase Felgueiras who was shipped to the RBC host team Terries a few days prior.

Cecconi has been with the Broncos for the past year and a half after coming over from Kindersley in the Special Dispersal Draft of 2018. He has been scoring at a point oper game rate this year with 25 points (11g, 14a) in 25 games played wearing the green and gold. It’s been a steady jump in production following his 19-year-old campaign where he put up 27 points (11g, 16a) in 55 games last year.

Although the return to the Broncos from the trade wont be determined until next year, a player like Cecconi in his final year of hockey should fetch a decent price from a team who has hoisting the RBC Cup at the top of their wish list.

The Portage Terriers are hosting the National Jr. A Championships this year, and have bolstered their roster with two Broncos in Cecconi and Felgueiras.
