The Humboldt Broncos are proud to announce the signing of left-handed defenseman Tyrone Sobry for the 2025/26 SJHL season.
Sobry joins the Broncos after spending the past two seasons with the Prince Albert Raiders in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Earlier today, the Raiders reassigned him to Humboldt, bringing his strong two-way game back to the SJHL.
Tyrone also carries a deep Broncos connection—he is the son of Rick Sobry, a former Humboldt Broncos All-Star goaltender.
“We’re very happy to add a defenseman like Tyrone to our roster,” said Broncos Head Coach and GM Brayden Klimosko. “We’re proud to have 14 Saskatchewan-born players in our lineup this season. It gives us a strong local core to continue building off the great start we’ve had.”
The Broncos look forward to welcoming Tyrone and the Sobry family back into the fold as the tradition of Humboldt hockey continues across generations.
