Boris Kofman Commits to Pro Hockey in Norway

The Humboldt Broncos are proud to share that Broncos alumnus forward Boris Kofman has officially committed to playing professional hockey in Europe. Kofman has signed with Manglerud of Norway’s Division 2 league for the upcoming season, marking the beginning of his pro career.

Making the jump to professional hockey directly from the SJHL is no small accomplishment, and it’s an especially inspiring milestone considering the gruesome injury Kofman suffered late last season. His determination, perseverance, and commitment to the game have been evident throughout his time in Humboldt.

“On behalf of the entire Broncos organization, I want to congratulate Boris on taking this next step,” said Head Coach and GM Brayden Klimosko. “It’s not an easy feat to jump right into European pro hockey, and Boris deserves credit for the hard work and leadership he’s shown both on and off the ice.”

Kofman was a respected presence in the locker room and a strong voice in the community. Alongside his on-ice contributions, he was the leader of the Broncos’ Recreational Hockey Program last season, helping introduce and inspire young players in the Humboldt area.

The Broncos wish Boris all the best in Norway and look forward to following his success as he begins his professional journey overseas.

Congratulations, Boris! Once a Bronco, always a Bronco.
