HUMBOLDT, SK — The Humboldt Broncos are pleased to announce that Seth Bennett and Bryer Loose have been designated as the organization’s Auto-Protected Players ahead of the 2026 SJHL Draft, presented by UPL, which gets underway today at 1:00 p.m.
The SJHL Auto-Protect program allows each member club to secure the rights to two players from within their designated recruiting zone prior to the annual draft. Once auto-protected, those players become exclusive property of that SJHL team and are no longer eligible to be selected by another organization.
For the Broncos, Bennett and Loose represent two young athletes who have earned the opportunity through their commitment, character, and potential both on and off the ice.
Today’s draft marks an important day for organizations across the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League as teams continue to build for the future. The Broncos will join the rest of the league in selecting the next generation of SJHL talent, adding prospects who they hope will one day wear the green and gold at the Elgar Petersen Arena.
While today’s draft will bring new names into the Broncos system, Bennett and Loose already know where their junior hockey journey will begin.
The Broncos organization believes both players have bright futures ahead and are excited to officially welcome them to Broncos Country.
