Ben Fofonoff commits to Broncos for 2025-26 Season

The Humboldt Broncos are proud to announce the commitment of 2007-born defensemen Ben Fofonoff for the 2025-26 season.

Fofonoff, from Williams Lake, BC completed his first full season with the Caribou Cougars U18 AAA program, picking up 25 points (3g-22a) in 36 games from the backend.

“”Ben comes from a highly regarded program with the Cariboo Cougars, where we’ve had Broncos come from and be extremely successful before. He’s the new-age defenceman that moves pucks and creates offence from the back end. We are really excited about our young D-core we have added and they should instantly push our veterans for playing time,” said Head Coach and GM, Brayden Klimosko.

Fofonoff’s 25 points ranked 7th in the league among defensemen, while leading his Cougars team.

The 5’11, 170lbs right-shot blueliner joins Marik Mamic and former Bronco’ Josh Sale as recent graduates of the Caribou Cougars program to make their way to the green and gold.

The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Ben and his family to the organization and community.
