SaskPower Visits Broncos to Share Career Opportunities with Players

The Humboldt Broncos welcomed Aaron Eckel and Lance Tabin from SaskPower today as part of SaskPower’s partnership with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL).

As one of Saskatchewan’s leading employers, SaskPower is visiting SJHL teams throughout the season to connect with players face-to-face and share information about career pathways, recruitment opportunities, and community involvement. Their message is centered around helping young athletes explore meaningful careers beyond hockey, including opportunities that can lead to high earning potential, strong benefits, and long-term career stability.

Eckel and Tabin met with the Broncos for approximately 45 minutes, speaking about SaskPower’s role across the province, the types of positions available, and what they look for in future employees — including individuals who are team-oriented, disciplined, coachable, and hardworking, all qualities that align strongly with junior hockey players.

Both Eckel and Tabin also bring a strong hockey background, including SJHL experience, which helped make the presentation engaging and relatable for players.

The Humboldt Broncos would like to thank SaskPower, Lance, and Aaron for taking the time to visit our organization and for investing in the future of athletes both on and off the ice.
