The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt are excited to announce the commitment of ’07 goaltender Nick Kotai to their 2025–26 roster.
A 2007-born netminder from Abbotsford, B.C., Nick stands 5’10” and catches left was featured last season in the BCHL with the Surrey Eagles, making one appearance and earning a shutout with an impressive 1.000 save percentage. Prior to that, he posted a 3.21 goals‑against average with an .869 save percentage across 14 games at the U18 level in the JPHL.
Nick comes from a hockey family with strong SJHL ties. His older brothers—Reilley, captain of the Melfort Mustangs and 2024–25 SJHL scoring champion and Josh, a former Battlefords North Stars player, who Klimosko previously coached —have both enjoyed success in the league.
“I’m excited for Nick to be joining our organization.” Said Head Coach and GM Brayden Klimosko. “With Brady Holtvogt starting the year in Prince George, we need to have depth in our crease. Nick’s background and mindset make him a perfect fit for what we’re building.”
The Broncos and the City of Humboldt are proud to welcome Nick into Bronco Nation, confident in his potential to grow into a top-tier goaltender in the SJHL.
