Broncos Host 2023-24 AGM

Another year wrapped up.

The Humboldt Broncos AGM for the 2023-24 Season was held at the Elgar Petersen Arena on Monday June 17th.

Attendance was open to all season ticket holders and was also attended by board members and staff.

“Overall, it was a successful season for the Broncos. The playoffs were some of the best played hockey and best attended hockey that we’ve seen here. We had an amazing group of players that were immersed into the community and gave everything they had to Humboldt both on and off the ice. It’s been a pleasure serving as the president this season and I look forward to seeing what we can bring this upcoming year,” said Broncos President, Amanda Schlachter.

The Broncos averaged 956 fans throughout the regular season and saw an increase up to 1403 throughout the playoff run.

In addition to another promising year of hockey on the ice in the 2024-25 season, the Broncos are planning to unveil a few new fundraising initiatives including a Saskatchewan wide NHL Hockey Pool with a large cash payout planned. The Broncos are also hosting their inaugural Humboldt Broncos Alumni Weekend in February which will include a matinee alumni game, a pair of bronco’s games, and a banquet with entertainment throughout the long weekend.

The board gave their sincere gratitude to two departing board members as Mike Barlage and Laurie Warford both stepped down from the board. Joe Von Doellen remains on the board as treasurer but stepped down as governor which was filled by Darcy Almasi.

The rest of the Board of Directors remain in the same position.

“The Humboldt Broncos could not operate without our outstanding contribution from our volunteers and sponsors. We have an amazing staff and an amazing team, but as a non-profit organization it comes down to the support of our community to be as successful as possible. Our community is the absolute best,” Schlachter added.

The Humboldt Broncos look forward to competing and thriving in the 2024-25 season.
