Broncos Hire Assistant Coach

Humboldt, SK. – The Humboldt Broncos have hired Mark Cross as the Assistant Coach. Cross is originally from Strasburg, SK and graduated from York University with a degree in Kinesiology.

Cross played with the Estevan Bruins from 2008 – 2011 and on the York University Lions from 2011 – 2016 where we was assistant captain for three seasons. During the 2015-16 season Cross was awarded the MVP with the York Lions. Cross was also nominated for the Charles Saundercook Award, which is presented to a student-athlete who displays qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, enthusiasm for life and consideration of others at York. During the 2016-17 season Cross was an Assistant Coach for the Lumsden Midget AA Team.

“Besides Mark’s playing experience, it was his work ethic and character that stood out the most for myself,” stated Head Coach Darcy Haugan.
