Stars dominate thin Broncos roster

The Broncos capped off their regular season home schedule Saturday dropping a 6-1 decision to the Battlefords North Stars.

With a first round playoff match-up secured versus the Melfort Mustangs the Broncos rested a number of key players while dressing several affiliate players. Humboldt product Mitchell Girolami, Trey Stocker, and 15 year-old Saskatoon Contacts forward Boston Maxwell all drew into the line-up.

Bryce Fiske scored his eighth goal of the season in the loss; Conner Lukan and Nick Shumlanski earned the assists. Parker Tobin suffered the loss making 35 saves.

The regular season closes Tuesday when the Broncos travel to Wilcox to meet the Hounds.
