Canadian NASCAR driver D.J. Kennington showed his support for the Humboldt Broncos back in mid-April, when he placed a Broncos logo decal on the hood of his No. 96 race car for the NASCAR Cup Series Food City 500 race in Bristol, Tennessee.
Following the race, the race team signed the hood and auctioned it off as a fundraiser; raising $12,000 for the Humboldt Bronco’s Community Foundation. One of Kennington’s premiere sponsors, Castrol Canada won the auction and chose to donate the hood to the Broncos.
On July 23rd, D.J. Kennington and Gary McMillan of Castrol Canada hosted a lunchtime barbecue event at Humboldt’s South 20 Dodge Chrysler where they presented the cheque and the hood to Bronco’s Vice President Randy McLean.
Thanks for you support!
