Lottery of Cash Key Piece in “Bottom Line”

Tickets are now on sale for the 23rd annual Humboldt Broncos Lottery of Cash.

Tickets are $65 each each or you can purchase three for $150.

General Manager Darcy Haugan says their largest fundraiser of the year is crucial in the day to day operations.

“Financially it really is the back bone to our team’s success, it’s something that is very critical to our overall organization. When the Lottery does well it really helps our bottom line.”

There are a number of ways to buy and and be in on the grand prize draw of $100,000, you can call 1-844-893-2017, visit lottery central at the Humboldt Mall or new this year, you can purchase them here on our site.

Another change is that this year is there is no early bird draws. Haugan explains that financially that aspect of the Lottery wasn’t generating funds.

“Sales weren’t that great for it and it was a trend that we were seeing each and every year so it just made sense. When we looked at the costs we were eliminating it should really help our bottom line.”

Overall there is $120,000 in prizes over 18 draws plus a 50/50 jackpot that was close to $80,000 total last year.

Haugan added that the support from the area has been incredible for over two decades.

“We have appreciated the people’s support over the years, there’s a lot of long time buyers from all over this province. It’s a real special province and a lot of people support the simple fact that they understand how important it is to our community.”

The deadline to purchase tickets is 5pm on March 31st, the draws will be made the next day.
