Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides

Our national charity is one of the largest providers of Dog Guides in Canada. We provide highly trained Dog Guides at no cost to Canadians with physical and medical disabilities.

In the spring of 2018, we had a very special litter of future Dog Guides named in honour of the Humboldt Broncos. This special litter from the Lions Foundation of Canada will forever bear a name that honours those involved in the Humboldt tragedy.
The litter of five yellow labs is made up of 3 females and 2 males. The following names have been chosen in memory of the Humboldt Broncos:

Female dogs: Hope, Strong and Pride
Male dogs: Bronco and Hero

We’re proud to share the names as they represent everything the Humboldt Broncos hockey team stands for. We hope that the players, parents, families, team staff and town of Humboldt find some comfort as this litter with very special names will one day become Dog Guides and help a person that is visually impaired, hearing impaired, has a physical disability, is epileptic or diabetic, or is a child on the autism spectrum.
