Jeter Korte commits to Broncos for 2023/24 Season

The Humboldt Broncos are happy to announce that Jeter Korte (05) has committed to playing for the
Broncos for the 2023/24 SJHL season.

Korte, a 6’0, 180lbs forward from Saskatoon, SK, was the Broncos’ 1st round draft pick (6th overall) in the
2020 SJHL draft.

“Jeter is a player who we’ve had very high on our prospect list since we’ve drafted him. We are ecstatic he chose our program over various other options, including out of province, that he had offers to. In the end, we’re happy he chose to be a Bronco and to continue his hockey career here in the SJHL. He’s got a very bright future, “said Humboldt Broncos Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney.

Korte is the Captain of the Warman Wildcats U18 AAA program, where in his second season, has currently produced 19 points (4g, 15a) in 29 games for the 6th place Wildcats.

“He’s a strong two-way centreman who constantly makes the players around him better with his high hockey IQ level. He’s got great vision, able to distribute the puck, and create opportunities for himself and his line mates. This fills a major spot in our lineup down the middle that will have some holes next year with graduating players,” said Barney.

With many family ties in the Muenster, SK area, the Broncos are excited to add the Korte name to the lineup next year.

Korte was drafted by the Broncos out of the Saskatoon Maniacs U15 AA program after finishing third on the team with 51 points (13g, 38a) in 31 games. Along with being drafted by the Broncos, Korte was also drafted by the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings 167th overall in 2020.

Korte was called up for one game with the Broncos this season, scoring his first career SJHL goal in a 4-0 win over the Yorkton Terriers on November 26th .

The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Jeter and his family to the
organization and community.
