Humboldt clipped by Kindersley

THE BRONCOS HAD THEIR THREE GAME WINNING STREAK SNAPPED WEDNESDAY.

Nick Shumlanski scored his second goal as a Bronco Wednesday but the Kindersley Klippers downed Humboldt 3-1.

Shumlanski’s 14th goal of the season split a pair of Curtis Peck first period goals in Macklin during a neutral site contest.

Devon Cyr scored a short handed goal for Kindersley late in the second period expanding the lead to 3-1 and capping the scoring.

Humboldt’s Parker Tobin stopped 32 shots of the 35 he faced, Justen Close allowed just the one Bronco tally on 30 Humboldt shots.

The Broncos will look to rebound with back-to-back home games this weekend. La Ronge visits Friday, the Flin Flon Bombers invade the Elgar Petersen Arena on Saturday. Face-off is 7:30 p.m. both nights.
