Humboldt Broncos Celebrate 2025–26 Season at Awards Banquet

The Humboldt Broncos organization gathered on March 15 to celebrate the 2025–26 season at the team’s annual Awards Banquet, held in the Pioneer Hotel banquet room. Players, coaches, billets, sponsors, and supporters came together for an evening of recognition, reflection, and appreciation.

Guests were treated to an outstanding meal catered by the incredible team at Johnny’s Bistro, who played a huge role in making the evening such a success. From preparing a fantastic dinner to assisting with the setup and helping ensure the evening ran smoothly, the Johnny’s Bistro team went above and beyond. Their continued support of the Broncos organization and attention to detail helped create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone could simply relax and enjoy celebrating the season together.

The program began with opening remarks from Blaine Weyland, Broncos play-by-play announcer, followed by grace from Sean Brandow. Guests then enjoyed dinner and time to reconnect before the formal program began with the introduction of the 2025–26 Humboldt Broncos players and staff, recognizing the group that represented the Broncos throughout the season.

Broncos President Amanda Schlachter shared a message reflecting on the season and the importance of the community that surrounds the team. A special toast was then made by Teigan Semchyshen to the Broncos’ billet families, recognizing the vital role they play in welcoming players into their homes and supporting them throughout the season.

Team captain Brayden Skogstad also addressed the room, sharing appreciation for his teammates, coaches, billets, and the entire Broncos community.

2025–26 Humboldt Broncos Award Winners

The evening’s highlight was the presentation of the team awards, recognizing players for their performance, leadership, and dedication both on and off the ice.

  • RONA Most Dedicated Player Award – Kristian Lacelle

  • Humboldt Co-op Hardest Worker Award – Kayson Christian

  • Hergott Farm Equipment Rookie of the Year – Owen Chapman

  • Unsung Hero Award – Ben Fofonoff

  • Dr. Terry Henning Most Improved Player Award – Teigan Semchyshen

  • Conexus Credit Union Most Valuable Player – Brayden Skogstad

  • Coach’s Award – Best Team Player – Brayden Skogstad

  • Carter’s “Juice Boy” Award – Gabriel Kaminski

Recognizing the Graduating Players

A special moment of the evening came as the organization recognized its graduating 20-year-old players who have completed their Junior A careers with the Broncos.

These players were recognized for their leadership, dedication, and the lasting impact they made both on the ice and within the Humboldt community.

The evening concluded with remarks from Head Coach & GM Brayden Klimosko, reflecting on the season and thanking everyone who plays a role in supporting Broncos hockey.

The Humboldt Broncos organization would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our players, billets, parents, sponsors, volunteers, media, and fans for their continued support throughout the season.

While the banquet marked the official close of the 2025–26 season, the memories, friendships, and experiences created throughout the year will continue to be part of the Broncos story for years to come.
