The Humboldt Broncos are proud to announce the commitment of 2007-born defenseman Finn McGhie for the 2025-26 season.
McGhie, a Sherwood Park, AB native, is currently in his third season with the Sherwood Park Kings U18 AAA program, where he has 13 points (4g-9a) in 38 games to go along with 24
PIMS.
“Finn has the ability to excel as a playmaking defenseman. His high hockey-IQ and quick decision making allows him to break the puck out of his own zone and create plays off the rush
at a high level. We’re excited to get him in Humboldt next season and develop his game,” said Head Coach and GM, Brayden Klimosko.
McGhie, listed at 5’9 – 170lbs, has played 113 games of U18 AAA with the Kings, amassing 39 points throughout his tenure that stared as a 15-year-old in the 2022-23 season. The Kings
currently hold a 29-9-2-4 record while allowing a league-best 90 goals against.
The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Finn and his family to
