COMMITMENT: BRONCOS ADD PAULSEN FOR THE 2022-23 SEASON

The Humboldt Broncos are pleased to announce that a home-grown talent has announced his commitment to the Broncos for the 2022/23 season.

Humboldt native, McLaren Paulsen has commitment to the Broncos for the fall of 2022.

Paulsen played his minor hockey in Humboldt, including a 20-point season in his first year of U15 AA. Following that season, he joined the Prairie Hockey Academy in 2019/20 and accumulated 15 points (8g,7a) in 36 games.  As Paulsen continued his development, most recently, he now is a member of the Regina Pat Canadians U18 AAA program.  So far this season with the Pats, the 2004-born forward has 21 points (8g, 13a) in 34 games.

“We are very excited to have McLaren commit to the Broncos for next season,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney. “Over the last four years since I have been in Humboldt, it’s been great to see his progress as a player with the work he puts in on and off the ice. His work ethic in the weight room has translated to his game on the ice where he’s a 2-way power forward and consistent leader.”

Paulsen was called up for one game to the Broncos this season, where he made his SJHL debut in January.

The Humboldt Broncos are very excited to have another local product commit to our team and would like to welcome McLaren and his family to the organization.
