The Broncos are happy to announce our commitment of 2004 born forward, Keenan McNeill for the 2022/23 season
“We are excited to add Keenan to our roster. He plays a complete 200-foot game, very strong on the puck in the tough areas of the ice, and is a natural born leader as well,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney.
McNeill, a product of Edmonton, AB, completed his first full season for the SSCA Athletics U18 AAA program.
After having his 2020/21 year held to just 4 games, he was then named captain of the team and picked up 20 points (9g,11a) in 35 games this year, adding six points in four playoff games.
McNeill has shown his leadership throughout his minor hockey career. In his final year of U16 AAA in 2019/20, McNeill was also named captain, while finishing well over a point-per-game with 44 points in 37 contests.
“The fact that were able to bring in a guy with his leadership which he shown through his time in Alberta minor hockey, is a huge add for our organization,” added Barney.
The 6’1 170lbs will join the Broncos for their upcoming fall camp.
The Humboldt Broncos would like to congratulate Keenan and his family for the accomplishment.
