The Broncos are earning points against the Battleford North Stars but the wins remain elusive.

For the fifth straight contest against the Stars; Humboldt has lost in either overtime or a shoot-out after Friday’s 2-1 loss.

Brayden Camrud scored his 16th goal of the season in the second period from Logan Schatz and Kaleb Dahlgren giving Humboldt a 1-0 lead. Keith Anderson tied the game in the third period with his 17th goal of the campaign.

Logan Hunter and Schatz beat Taryn Kotcheruk in the shoot-out but the Stars scored three times in four shots to secure the extra point.

Jacob Wassermann made 28 stops through 65 minutes of play in his first game since returning to the Broncos from the Western Hockey League’s Regina Pats. Kotcheruk made 26 stops in the win.

The Broncos haven’t beaten the Stars since Jan. 28, 2015; a stretch that covers 21 games.

The Broncos host the Battlefords Saturday at the Elgar Petersen Arena in their final home game of the regular season. All unused season tickets will be accepted, face-off is 7:30 p.m.
