Broncos shoot the lights out at the Whitney

The Broncos followed up Friday’s nail-biter in Flin Flon with an impressive 7-1 rout of the Bombers on Saturday at the Whitney Forum.

Stephen Wack, Jaxon Joseph, Evan Thomas and Logan Boulet all scored in the first period opening a 4-1 Humboldt lead, the cushion was by far enough.

Bayden Camrud added his 10th of the year in the second frame, Derek Patter and Logan Schatz also hit the score sheet in the third sealing the weekend sweep.

Since the trade for Joseph that involved Tristen Elder, the Edmonton product has compiled 11 goals and seven assists in 14 games. Conner Lukan added a pair of assists as well. Wack, Schatz, Patter, Joseph and Thomas had a pair of points.

Parker Tobin made 28 saves in the Broncos cage, he’s 2-0-1 in three starts for the green and gold. Colten Lancaster was relieved after allowing four goals on 23 shots, Niklas Anderson gave up three goals on 18 shots in relief duty fro Flin Flon.

The win is the 18th of the season for the Broncos, they trail Notre Dame by a point for second in their division.

The club travels to Kindersley on Tuesday night to meet the Klippers, face-off is 7:30 p.m.
