Broncos send Tritt, Knutson and Miller to Flin Flon in a Series of Trades

The Humboldt Broncos completed a trio of blockbuster trades with the Flin Flon Bombers on Thursday.

2005-born-old Goalie Charlie Tritt, 2005-born defenceman Ryder Knutson and 2006-born forward Connor Miller will all head to Flin Flon with multiple draft picks, development fees and future considerations coming to Humboldt.

Tritt will head to Flin Flon along with a 5th round selection of the 2010 portion of the 2026 SJHL Draft in return the Broncos will receive a 2nd round pick in the 2011 portion of the 2026 SJHL Draft, a player development fee and a player that will be announced on October 1, 2026.

The Broncos will send Knutson along with a 3rd round selection in the 2010 portion of the 2026 SJHL Draft. Coming back to Humboldt will be a 1st round selection in the 2010 portion of the 2026 SJHL Draft, a player development fee, and a player that will be announced on October 1, 2026.

In the trade with Miller, the Broncos receive the CJHL rights of Koen Senft along with future considerations.

Tritt joined the Broncos this past summer and has quickly established himself as one of the top goalies in the SJHL. The Vancouver BC product leads the league in Goals Against Average (2.14), shutouts, (3), save percentage (.940) and is third in wins (12).

Knutson has spent the past two and a half seasons with the Broncos. During that time, the Swift Current SK product played 112 games with the green and gold and picked up 46 points (13G-33A). He also appeared in 12 playoff games with 3 assists.

Before the beginning of the 2025-26 regular season, Knutson was named the captain of the Broncos.

Miller played five games with the Broncos in 2022-23, scoring a pair of goals before spending his first season with the team the following year. He would go on to play 124 games with Humboldt with 91 points (40G-51).

The Lipton SK product was a member of the Canada West team that won a bronze medal at the World Junior ‘A’ Challenge in 2024, which was led by Flin Flon Bombers Head Coach Mike Reagan.

Senft spent a pair of seasons with the Bombers between 2023-25 where he had 75 points (24G-41A).

The 2006-born Regina product is currently with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL where he has 13 points (5G-8A) in 31 games this season.
