Broncos on the Floor with Special Olympics Hockey Team

In a long standing tradition, the Humboldt Broncos continue to take time out of their Monday nights to take to the floor.

Humboldt is home to a championship Special Olympic floor hockey team and every Monday a few of the players join the group for a fun game in the gym.

Most recently, Trevor Posch, Stephan Wack, Luke Kempf and Daniel McKitrick exchanged their skates for shoes.

McKitrick said it’s a fun and eye opening chance to get out into the community.

“We had a good time playing floor hockey with these awesome people in Humboldt.”

Many of the players in the photo are regulars at Bronco home games, some venturing down to ice level during warm-ups to collect pucks or even just give a fist bump before their favourite team takes to the ice.
