Broncos drop third straight going to break

In a first half of hills and valleys the Broncos head into the Christmas break on a down swing.

After collecting points in eight straight contests Humboldt will move into the holiday hiatus losing three straight after a 6-2 set back in Melfort Friday night.

Logan Schatz scored his 15th and 16th goals of the season, at one point tying the game 2-2 but Melfort scored four unanswered in the final 30 minutes cruising to the victory.

Bryce Fiske chipped in with a pair of assists.

Jacob Wassermann allowed five goals on 26 shots, he was pulled for Parker Tobin early in the third period. Tobin stopped 8/9 in relief.

Humboldt will return to action Friday, Jan. 5 in Weyburn. The Broncos meet Estevan the following night.
