The Humboldt Broncos are excited to announce the acquisition of 20-year-old forward Alex Morozoff from the Nanaimo Clippers.
Alex hails from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and is a 2001 born 6 foot 190 pound power forward who can score. He spent four years in the WHL prior to joining the Clippers this season, accumulating 172 games while putting up 27 goals and 18 assists for 45 points. He was a member of the Saskatoon Blades in the shortened 2020-21 season.
“Alex is a player we were very surprised came available to us, we are very excited to bring him in. We believe he will help our team in all three areas, 5v5, Powerplay and Penalty Kill, we have heard nothing but great things about his character and tenacity as a player, and person. A few of our players already have a strong relationship with Alex.” Broncos general manager and head coach Scott Barney said.
Morozoff was a 2nd overall Bantam draft pick to Humboldt in 2016, that same year he was also picked by the WHL’s Red Deer Rebels in the 7th round. Alex played one and a half seasons of Midget with the Saskatoon Contacts before joining the Red Deer Rebels half way through the season.
The Broncos would like to welcome Alex and his family to the Humboldt Broncos organization
