BRONCOS ACQUIRE JACE BENVIE

The Humboldt Broncos are pleased to announce the acquisition of 2003-born forward, Jace Benvie of the AJHL’s Sherwood Park Crusaders.

Benvie comes to the Broncos after splitting the last season between the Blackfalds Bulldogs and the Crusaders, accumulating 10 points in 47 games combined.

“We are really exited to add Jace to the Broncos. He’s been a player that we’ve had on our radar some time now. There is a lot of untapped potential in his game, and we believe the Broncos have the right fit to untap it,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney.

Benvie, a Calgary, AB native, just completed his rookie season of Junior A hockey. Prior to making the jump he was a consecutive point-per-game player, wrapping up his minor hockey status with 36 points in 31 games in U18 AAA following a 34-point performance in 32 games as the captain on his U16 AAA team.

The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Jace and his family to the team and the community.
