Broncos Acquire Goalie Hayden Dunford from Merritt

The Humboldt Broncos have bolstered their crease acquiring 20-year-old goaltender Hayden Dunford from the BCHL’s Merritt Centennials in exchange for future considerations.
Dunford is a 6’5” goaltender from Guelph, ON who has spent part of the last two seasons in the BCHL.
This season with the Centennials, Dunford has posted a 1-5-0 record with a 5.77 GAA and .841 SV%. Prior to moving across the country, he produced strong numbers in the GOJHL in Ontario with the Caledonia Corvairs, suiting up for six games, with a 3.00 GAA and .922 SV%.
“Hayden is a goalie we targeted over the summer. When he became available recently, we jumped on him. He’s a big-bodied goalie who historically makes the first save. He will bring a lot of competition into our crease and have the opportunity to showcase his talents here in Humboldt and the SJHL,” said Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney.
The acquisition provides the Broncos with three goaltenders on the roster, joining Tristan Boileau and Benjamin Motew.
The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Hayden and his family to the organization and the community.
