The Humboldt Broncos have made a key roster move ahead of a busy stretch of the season, acquiring defenceman Nathan Da Silva and a PDF (player development fee) from the La Ronge Ice Wolves in exchange for forward Brock Inglis and future considerations.
Da Silva, who brings size, experience, and familiarity with the SJHL, is expected to step in and contribute immediately to the Broncos’ blue line. Known for his defensive reliability and ability to move the puck efficiently out of his own end, he adds strength and depth to the Humboldt back end as the team pushes forward into the heart of the schedule.
Head Coach Brayden Klimosko shared his thoughts on the incoming defender:
“Nathan is a big addition to our back end. He’s familiar to the league and has had some success in the past. We’re hoping he can make an impact starting Saturday night.”
Da Silva will join the Broncos ahead of their upcoming matchup, where fans could see him pull on the green and gold for the first time.
The organization would also like to thank Brock Inglis for his commitment and contributions to the Broncos. We wish him nothing but success in his future with the Ice Wolves.
