BHP Recap: Broncos Shutout Ice Wolves for 6th Straight Win

The Humboldt Broncos remain undefeated on the season after shutting out the La Ronge Ice Wolves 2-0 on Friday night.

The Broncos are amid their busiest stretch of the season, playing their 5th game in just 8 days.

In a fast paced and entertaining affair in La Ronge, both goalies, Tristan Boileau for the Broncos, and Dawson Smith for the Ice Wolves, stood strong in the first period taking a 0-0 tie into the second.

The Broncos scored both their goals on the powerplay. The first came off the stick of Tim Kim for his first career SJHL goal in the second period. Daylan Weigel provided the insurance marker in the third period.

The Broncos went 2 for 3 on their power plays while killing all 3 of their minor penalties.

Tristan Boileau turns in his best performance of the season stopping 37 of 37 for his first career SJHL shutout.

The Broncos torrid stretch od games doesn’t end here. They are back on the ice on Saturday in a rematch against La Ronge, before heading to Flin Flon on Sunday. When all said and done, the Broncos will have played 7 games in 10 days.
