It was a statement win for the Humboldt Broncos, picking up their third straight victory in front of a live TV audience.
As a part of the SJHL Game of the Month broadcast, the Broncos defeated the Kindersley Klippers 8-0 across a SaskTel TV audience in Saskatchewan.
It didn’t take long for the Broncos to get going. From the drop of the puck they jumped on the Klippers scoring goals from Braiden Koran (11) and Connor McGrath (16) in the opening two minutes. The duo added two more before the first period expired with McGrath’s 17th of the year, and Koran’s 12th.
Braiden Koran completed his hat-trick early in the second period, and Matthew Perkins picked up his 18th ten minutes later to give the Broncos a 6-0 lead heading into the final frame. For Koran, he now has two hat-tricks in his last three games.
Two more goals in the third period for the Broncos, as Alec Saretzky picked up his team-leading 21st of the year, and in the final three minutes, Alex Morozoff scored his 6th for the Broncos, capping off an 8-0 performance.
Rayce Ramsay secured his second shutout of the season, stopping all 24 of the Klippers shots. He now has 24 wins on the season which continues to lead all goalies across Canada in Junior-A hockey.
The Broncos improved to 25-8-0-0 and sit in first place in the SJHL. They have two more games remaining before the holiday break starting with the Notre Dame Hounds on Friday December 17th.
