The City of Humboldt would like to acknowledge and thank all those individuals who have registered the Elgar Petersen Arena (‘EPA’) on-line for the “KRAFT HOCKEYVILLE 2019 Competition”, and for sharing their stories.
“Ten years ago, the EPA was a runner up in the 2009 competition, which generated high energy and enthusiasm in Humboldt. Looking back at some of the photos from that event and the rallying that took place, it’s heartwarming to see that we are the same community with a deep passion for the sport of hockey,” said Mayor Muench.
The EPA has been the center of the community for over 30 years and has a rich history of hosting hockey, curling, and skating competitions, as well as numerous concerts, tradeshows conference and community events. The City looks forward to hosting many more similar events in the years to come in what is the epicenter of the community.
