Logan Foster led the way, and the Humboldt Broncos came away with a convincing 8-1 victory over the Kindersley Klippers on Saturday, January 11th.

The Klippers’ Liam Fraser scored the first goal of the game, making it 4 straight games the Broncos have given up the opening tally. However, fortunately for the fans, the offence from there on out would belong solely to the green and gold. Logan Foster scored two straight goals in the first period, now providing the last four Broncos goals dating back to January 9th, and Humboldt took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

The Broncos continued to find the back of the net in the second period. Luke Spadafora picked up his third goal since being acquired by the Broncos in December. Logan Foster completed the hattrick for a 4-1 lead. Justin Jamer picked up his first point in his last 5 games with his 8th goal if the year, and Tristan Shewchuck became the second Bronco this year to hit the 20-goal mark.

The Broncos led 6-1 heading into the third period, but that didn’t stop them from forcing the play deep down into the Klippers zone. Max Gudnason scored just 35 seconds into the period to make it 7-1 and Spencer Mchardy finished off the scoring with his first career SJHL goal.

Humboldt outshot Kindersley 48-23 with Brendan Forman making 22 saves in net for the win. The Broncos are 3-0 on home ice in 2020.

The Broncos have 5 days off in between games. They will travel to Melfort on Friday, January 17th, in a two-horse race against the Mustangs.
