SaskEnergy Volunteer Champion Award

Written by: Avery LeBlanc

A local Humboldt Broncos billet took home the SaskEnergy Volunteer Champion Award.

On Saturday night before the Humboldt Broncos and Battleford’s North Stars game, SaskEnergy presented Wes and Carla Clement with the  Volunteer Champion Award. The award recognizes people who volunteer their time and efforts to their local SJHL team.

“It’s good to be appreciated. It’s like having an older brother in the house, the kids love them. They play mini-sticks and it’s amazing how they get along and just want to send thanks to the whole Humboldt community,” said Wes Clement.

The Clements house Luke Spadafora, Chase Lacombe, and Michael Harroch. Anyone from a community with an SJHL team can win the award as the Clements were nominated by the Humboldt Broncos.

This is the sixth year the award has been in existence and it will make another return in 2021.
