Logan Foster was the best player on any SJHL ice surface during the past week, and the league has acknowledged it.

Foster has been announced as the SJHL’s Player of the Week for January 6th-12th.

The Humboldt Broncos’ first game of the week was on Tuesday, January 7th inside the EPA as they hosted Notre Dame Hounds. Foster finished the night with one assist, picking up the helper on the eventual game-winning goal.

The team then travelled to Kindersley on January 9th where the Klippers came away with a 5-2 victory. Foster scored both of the goals for the Broncos, his 20th and 21st goals of the season.

Finally, on January 11th, the Broncos hosted the Klippers. After the Klippers scored the first goal of the game, Foster took over, picking up a hat-trick and five points in the 8-1 victory, giving him five goals and three assists throughout the week.

In total, Foster now has 55 points (24g, 31a) in 41 games this season and is in 5th place in the SJHL scoring race. He is currently on a five-game point streak which includes 14 points over that stretch.

The Broncos and Foster will be back in the ice on Friday, January 17th when they travel to Melfort to take on the Mustangs.
