07’ Defenseman Teigan Semchyshen commits to Broncos for 2024/25 Season.

The Humboldt Broncos are happy to announce that Teigan Semchyshen has committed to playing for the Humboldt Broncos for the 2024/25 SJHL season.

Semchyshen, a Warman, SK native, was drafted by the Broncos with the 15th overall pick in the 2007-birth-year category of the 2022 SJHL Draft.

Semchyshen led the Prince Albert Mintos U18 AAA program in defensive scoring, picking up 20 points (3g-17a) in 36 games played this season.

“Teigan has a lot of offensive ability and has grown into his game on the defensive side this season in PA. He’s a real promising young player. We are very excited about getting this commitment and continue to develop these younger players,” said Head Coach and GM Scott Barney.

Semchyshen, only 17 years old, has already played 2 seasons of U18 AAA hockey in Saskatchewan, accumulating 45 points (12g-33a) in 79 games.  He also suited up for 3 games as a Bronco in 2022/23 scoring his first career SJHL goal.

Semchyshen was drafted 146th overall by the WHL’s Kamloops Blazers in 2022, as well as 284th by the USHL’s Lincoln Stars in 2023.

The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Teigan and his family to the organization and community.
